In a Christmas photo shared by one of his sons, Willie Nelson looks happy and healthy. In the family photo, the legend is with his wife Annie, two of his sons, and two dogs.
Micah Nelson’s wife, whom he married in 2019, is the fifth person in the picture.
In a picture posted on Lukas Nelson’s Instagram page, Annie and Willie Nelson are sitting cross-legged. The 89-year-old man is smiling and pointing to a message written in green, red, and white. “Happy holidays, love from the Nelsons,” Lukas writes as a caption.
Nelson was as affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as any other artist. He went to great lengths to avoid getting sick with a disease that has killed millions. He got a positive test result in May, but he didn’t tell anyone how dangerous it was until August.
He told New York Times Magazine, “There were a couple of times when I wasn’t sure if he was going to make it.”
At the time, the magazine said that it was getting harder and harder for him to walk. It seemed to help to sing and play the guitar.
Still, Nelson put out A Beautiful Time, a solo album of original songs and covers that got him nominated for a Grammy in 2023. He was also nominated for a Grammy in two other country categories, making him one of the most nominated people in country music for the ceremony in February.

Shirley Collie Nelson came after Martha, but it seems like she and Willie didn’t stay together for long. Sometime in the 1970s, the musician married Connie Koepke. They had two daughters, Paula Nelson and Amy Lee Nelson. They broke up in 1988, which was sad, and Willie moved on again.
In 1986, Willie met a makeup artist on the set of a movie, and they fell in love. Annie was Willie’s fourth chance at a long-term relationship, and it seemed like she was the one that worked. They got married and had two sons, Lukas and Micah, together. Billy died in the same year, which was sad.
