Trump aide told Jan. 6 panel Meadows burned documents a dozen times in transition period
The January 6th committee released another batch of tapes on Tuesday.
This batch includes two more interviews with blockbuster witness Cassidy Hutchinson and testimony from several other Trump White House officials.
According to Hutchinson, the transcription focused on how then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows routinely burned documents during the transition period.
He also noted how Meadows sometimes told staffers to keep some Oval Office meetings "on close hold".
Hutchinson said she recalls a meeting with Meadows in late November or early December 2020.
At the meeting he told outer Oval Office staff: “Let's keep some meetings closed.
Hutchinson said she was not aware of any explicit instructions Meadows had given to keep a "close hold" on the January 6 information.
