Adam Sandler’s next will be the Netflix Film ‘Hustle’, set to be produced by LeBron James
Jeremiah Zagar, the director of ‘We the Animals’, has signed on to direct the drama in which Sandler will be seen as a basketball scout who reinstates the career of a star player by bringing him to the U.S.
Adam Sandler will be seen playing the role of an American basketball scout in the Netflix drama Hustle, which will be produced by the NBA Superstar LeBron James. Jeremiah Zagar, who is known for helming We the Animals, will direct the film.
It is going to be a drama that will see Sandler starring as a basketball scout who loses his job for noticing and supporting an overseas star player. After being fired unfairly, he is determined to prove that both of them have it in them, which is required to shine in NBA and decides to bring the star player to the U.S.
Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions and Roth/Kirschenbaum Films, along with SpringHill Entertainment of James and Maverick Carter, are set to produce the drama. Taylor Materne and Will Fetters have scripted the film.
Netflix, the biggest streaming platform in the world, recently extended its association with Sandler after Happy Madison committed to producing another four films for the platform that will have exclusive streaming on Netflix. Netflix and Sandler’s partnership can also be seen in his upcoming family film Hubie Halloween.
Sandler’s last film Uncut Gems, an American crime thriller by Josh and Benny Safdie that had hit the theatres in 2019, was a box office hit. Sandler plays the role of a New York jeweler who has an addiction to gambling and has to pay off the debts. He goes on tracking down an exclusive gem to clear off the debts.
