There is good news for all the Apple TV+ users. Apple has decided to extend the free subscription of all its existing users till July 2021. When initially Apple launched its TV+, it had allowed the new iPhone, iPod, iPad, MacBook, and Apple TV users to avail themselves the TV + services free for one whole year. Later the free subscription was extended till February 2021, and now it is further extended to July 2021.

The existing users shall not pay any additional cost to avail of the services. Those who had availed of the offer as soon as it was released last year are getting an extra 9-month subscription free of cost. Apple has though not made this announcement officially and also it has not listed any reason for the same.

The intention behind the launching of TV+ subscription was to double down its services ahead of the product sales. There were a couple of exclusives which included ‘The Morning Show, Dickinson, and more. The Apple TV+ original exclusive movie like Greyhound starring Tom Hanks was also included in it.

It is still unclear, why is Apple going on extending its free subscription period. It is believed that Apple is waiting for more exclusives to make the collection popular, which might make more and more people buy the services.

Right now the TV+ is competing with online streaming giants like Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. While the other services are available on other devices too, Apple TV+ is only on Apple devices and a couple of Samsung TVs.

New buyers can also avail of the free subscription offer till July 2021. So those who all plan to buy iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and iPods now can still get the free services along with the old subscribers and users. Once the free trial period expires, Apple would start charging Rs.99 every month from its Indian users. The users can also opt for Apple’s one bundle plan which includes access to Apple Music, Apple Arcade+, Apple TV, and 50GB of iCloud data.

When compared with its competitor Amazon, the users pay Rs.129 every month, and annually the amount is Rs.999. the Amazon bundles free access to Amazon Music and Amazon prime services too. And Netflix offers only monthly plans which cost Rs.199 per month, which has a basic mobile plan.
