Atlanta Mayor Lance tests positive for COVID-19

Keisha Lance Bottoms, mayor of Atlanta said in a tweet that, despite being asymptomatic, she is tested positive for coronavirus. She tweeted that she doesn’t have any symptoms of COVID-19 but is tested positive for the Coronavirus. Lance Bottoms said that she had just received her test results in an interview with MSNBC’s Joy Reid last Monday night.

She added that her husband was literally sleeping since Thursday, which is just not like him. I decided that we should get our test again. We were last tested about two weeks ago. In the last reports, we were negative. But in our new results which came back yesterday were all positive. It was a shock for us because what she has seen with him was not more than ordinary seasonal allergies, which are just about year-round allergies in Atlanta.

She also added that this leaves her with a loss of words because she thinks that how really, contagious this virus is. After taking all the precautions we possibly take this virus affected us. We wear a mask, we are very much thoughtful about washing our hands, and she said that she has no idea when and where they were exposed. There are nearly about 9,000 coronavirus cases in Fulton County where Atlanta is located, according to the Georgia Department of Health.

This shows how the virus is so unpredictable. Without getting any symptoms rather than ordinary seasonal allergies, this virus got affected. Taking normal precautions like wearing masks and washing or sanitizing hands many times is not enough. We should take more necessary steps to overcome this problem.
