New Delhi: De BCCI has postponed the Ranji Trophy knockout matches by two days and now the quarter-finals will begin from June 6 and the main domestic event’s title battle will begin from June 22.
According to an internal communication distributed by the BCCI to its state units, the two semifinals will now start from June 14 instead of June 12.
The final is scheduled to take place at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Bengal, Jharkhand, Mumbai, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh have qualified for the knockout stages of the premier league.
The competition phase of the Ranji Trophy was played before the start of the ongoing IPL.
The BCCI has not yet disclosed the reason behind the schedule change.
Quarter-finals: June 6-10
First Quarter Final: Bengal vs Jharkhand
Second Quarter Final: Mumbai vs Uttarakhand
Third quarterfinal: Karnataka vs Uttar Pradesh
Fourth Quarter Final: Punjab vs Madhya Pradesh
Semifinal: June 14-18
Final: June 22-26.
