A Brazilian footballer has been charged with attempted execute after kicking a referee within the head during a 2d division game, knocking him unconscious, authorities acknowledged.

William Ribeiro kicked referee Rodrigo Crivellaro twice during Monday’s match between Sao Paulo de Rio Grande and hosts Guarani de Venancio Aires, the 2d time when the official lay on the bottom.
