On Tuesday at Social media, the tributes from colleagues in Hollywood started writing. Dick Van Dyke said that Carl Reiner was his idol who had written about the human comedy. He said his script is not only funny but also has something to say for it.

My idol, Carl Reiner, wrote about the human comedy. He had a deeper understanding of the human condition, than I think even he was aware of. Kind, gentle, compassionate, empathetic and wise. His scripts were never just funny, they always had something to say about us.

The routine of Reiner is with Mel Brooks, director and his fellow comedian for “The 2000 Year Old Man” which started in the year 1950 was preserved for many comedy albums. This is the act where a reporter is interviewing 2000 old men about its life, which is still memorized with the comedians about its present as well as past.

Reiner had preferred to work always from behind and has always played a straight man. He had worked for many scripts in “Dick Van Dyke Show” and sometimes worked as a supporting character and as well as Alan Brady, TV host. He had worked in many movies as director, “The Jerk” (1979) and “Oh, God!” (1977). He has been praised by Brooks for his comic intelligence.
