Ian Holm of ‘Lord Of The Rings’ & ‘Alien’ Died at 88 years

Lord of The Rings and Alien star, Ian Holm a Veteran British actor had died at the age of 88 years. Holm’s agent in a message to the Guardian has said that when Ian Holm passed away in hospital with his family members around and he had died due to Parkinson’s illness.

Holm has recognized everywhere on screen as well as a stage. He was a BAFTA winner and in 1981 he had won Chariots of Fire through Oscar nomination. He had played as Bilbo Baggins in the Hobbit films and Lord of The Rings trilogy.

In 1931, he was born Essex, UK, and had excelled in the initial stage with a career at the Royal Shakespeare Company. In 1965 for Henry V he had won the Evening Standard best actor. In 1997 the best of his work was Masterful King Lear and Harold Pinter.

The other best performances include The Fifth Element, Terry Gilliam’s Time Bandits and Brazil, Atom Egoyan’s The Sweet Hereafter, and The Madness of King George. On a small screen also, he has got success like The Borrowers.

He has left with Sophie de Stempel, his fourth wife, and from all the relationships his 5 children. His 3rd wife is also there who is an actress Penelope Wilton.
