India Open hit by pandemic, seven Indian shuttlers test positive

New Delhi: The India Open tournament was rocked on Thursday by the COVID-19 pandemic with as many as seven Indian shuttlers, including reigning World Championship silver medalist Kidambi Srikanth, withdrawing from the event after testing positive for the virus.

That was announced by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) in the early hours before the Badminton Association of India (BAI) confirmed the names.
