Cristiano Ronaldo, who tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time on Thursday, has not given up hope of playing the Champions League, which is scheduled for next Wednesday. As per the UEFA protocol, players must test negative a week before the match, which makes it difficult for the player to qualify to play the match.
But Juventus have filed a medical report which states that Ronaldo has a very minimal viral load and that if he tests negative in his Friday test, he has a chance to play the match against Lionel Messi. Ronaldo said that he is very positive about playing the game as he is excited to face Messi for the first time since he left Real Madrid.
On the other hand, Andrea Pirlo is left without his star player after the latter is tested positive for the virus.
