Jimmy Kimmel host of Late-Night Talk Show apologies for the use of Blackface in his show
On Tuesday, Jimmy Kimmel, Late-night host of ABC had apologies for his blackface impressions which he had previously used in comedic sketches. He had used blackface as a practice for the deep racist roots as an impression for Karl Malone and Oprah Winfrey in The Man Show who are Black celebrities as a Comedy Central series for which he was working as a co-starred.
In the past few weeks, the footage of Kimmel had been spread on the internet for impersonating Malone. This video has been made in a basketball court where Kimmel is having makeup full black. He has been on break this summer from his show at ABC, Jimmy Kimmel Live! He said that what he uses his blackface in the past is embarrassing.
Kimmel who speaks a lot on many issues which are progressive but, in this matter, he had not addressed it as he had a belief that there are people who want to divide us will consider it as their victory. But to wait this long for apologizing is also a mistake.
He said that in the 20 years he had become more matured which anyone who is watching his show could make out. He said that he will be listening to it in the future also to make him quiet.
