Among them are RRR, Gangubai Kathiawadi, The Kashmir Files, and Kantara, all of which are from India. The list also includes Marathi films Me Vasantrao and Tujhya Sathi Kahi, as well as Pan Nalin’s “Last Film Show,” which is India’s official Oscar entry. Hello, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect by R. Madhavan, Iravin Nizhal, and the Kannada film Vikrant Rona. The list also includes the documentaries All That Breathes by Shaunak Sen and The Elephant Whisperers by Kartiki Gonsalves.
FYI, the list has movies that can officially compete in different categories, but just being on the list doesn’t mean that the movie will make it to the final nominations for the Academy Awards, which will be announced on January 24.
