The demise of legendary singer and veteran artist SP Balasubramaniam has shocked everyone in the country. As the news of his demise was broke, the social media has been flooded with the tributes for the late legendary singer. Even our honorary Prime Minister has penned down an emotional post for the late singer calling our cultural world a lot poorer.

Many of the playback singers, Bollywood A-listers, like AR Rahman, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor have written their condolences for the late singer acknowledging his contributions towards the music industry.

Lata Mangeshkar remembered him as a “brilliant singer” and a “kind human being” and remembered the days working with him.

It was Balasubramaniam’s voice that played a huge role in establishing Slamna Khan as the romantic hero. Songs like “Mere Rang main”, “Hum aapke hain koun, “Mausam ka jaddu” and “Pehla pehla pyaar hai” are few of the most popular songs.

The singer was admitted to the hospital with mild symptoms but the health deteriorated on August 13 and was later put on life support and was shifted to ICU.

He was put on ECMO (Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) along with ventilator on August 19 and all the people who were a part of his long journey came together to pray for his recovery.

But, it seems 2020 has another plan for everyone!
