Bombay: Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul was fined Rs 12 lakh after his team sustained a slow overload in the Indian Premier League game against Mumbai Indians here on Saturday.
Rahul crushed a blistering century in his 100th IPL game as LSG defeated MI by 18 runs.
“The Lucknow Super Giants have been fined after maintaining a slow overload during their TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Match 26 against Mumbai Indians at Brabourne Stadium CCI, Mumbai on Saturday,” the IPL said in a statement.
“Since it was the team’s first offense of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct regarding minimum violations, Captain KL Rahul was fined Rs 12 lakhs,” it added.
This was MI’s sixth straight defeat in the current edition of the competition, as debutants LSG recorded their fourth win to top the table alongside Gujarat Titans.
