As per the reports, Microsoft has announced that it will permanently work from home. The company has sent an ‘internal guideline’ to its employees that they can opt to work from home for less than 50 % of its weekly working time or even get approvals from their managers and opt to work from home forever.
But the catch is that it will depend on the employee, and not everyone can permanently work from home. The company is also giving its employees an option to move to any part of the country or move to a different country. But the salaries and perks will change as per the regional pay policy for such an employee.
The employees are even allowed to choose there working hours, and no approval will be needed for the same from the managers. Even part-time working options will be open. Many people from the IT industry, including Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, and Indian IT Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, has claimed that the work from home can become a permanent trend for the IT employees. At least one million people are expected to continue working from home post- coronavirus era in India.
