Tomb Raider 2, which is a sequel to Alica Vikander’s 2018 action-adventure movie, will mark the directorial debut of Misha Green. It is reported that MGM has hired Lovecraft Country creator Misha to helm the sequel. The reports also say that Misha would write the film’s script too. In the first part of the movie, Vikander had played the role of protagonist Lara Croft in the Roar Uthaug directorial.
The movie raked over USD 270 million at the global box office and was penned by Captain Marvel scribe Geneva Robertson-Dworet. The sequel, Tomb Raider 2 will be produced by Graham King and Elizabeth Cantillon under the banner GK Films and The Cantillon company respectively.
Misha is best known for her work as a director of Lovecraft Country, which became the breakout HBO series, which starred Jurnee Smollet, Jonathan Majors, and Michael Kenneth Williams. Her other famous works include Netflix’s The Mother and WGN’s Underground.
