Navi Mumbai: Delhi Capitals players are again forced into isolation after a net bowler from the team tested positive for Covid-19. The Delhi Capitals are scheduled to face CSK on Sunday night at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
IPL sources have confirmed that one DC player has tested positive for Covid-19 in the morning, prompting all other players to stay in their rooms. They further added that another round of Covid-19 testing for all players in the contingent was scheduled for Sunday morning.
It marks the second time during the ongoing IPL 2022 season that DC players have been forced into isolation.
Six members of the team including: Mitchell MarshTim Seifert, physio Patrick Farhart and three non-playing members had tested positive for the virus earlier in the season.
Delhi Capitals matches against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royalsplanned in Pune have been shifted to Mumbai.
DC’s players are undergoing another round of Covid-19 testing under the IPL protocol, until they are all required to remain in isolation.
