India’s most well known biscuit brand Parle-G broke its previous sales record in lockdown due to Corona Virus.
The company achieved a growth in it’s market share by around 5%. It happened due to increased sale of Parle-G, a household name in biscuit since 1938.
Parle-G took this news social media also along with the hashtag “#BharatKaApnaBiscuit“.
Parle-G biscuits also gained traction as it was preferred by government agencies and NGOs working to distribute food relief packages to people during the pandemic owing to its economic proposition with value package of ₹2 besides being considered a good source of glucose, Parle Products senior category head Mayank Shah told PTI.
In his social media post Shah tweeted “Good Deeds – What Goes Around Comes Around”. Also said company will be joining hands with government to provide support to people in need.
This is evident that Parle-G is just not a biscuit for Indians but a comfort food too.
