Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir, Salman’s production houses, 35 others Sue Arnab Goswami for Maligning their Image

The production banners owned by big stars like Shah Rukh, Aamir, Salman, Ajay, Farhan, Karan, Akshay, Aditya Chopra, and others have filed a case in the Delhi High Court against some news channels including Republic TV for defaming the Bollywood Industry. As many as 38 film bodies and production houses have filed a suit against the news channel and their journalists for using derogatory language against the Hindi Film Industry.

The suit is filed against Republic TV and Times Now and their journalists, Arnab Goswami, Pradeep Bhandari, Rahul Shishankar, and Navika Kumar. The news channels are accused of using offensive words such as ‘dirt,’ ‘scum,’ ‘filth,’ ‘druggies,’ and expressions like ‘all the perfumes of Arabia cannot take away the stench and the stink of this filth and scum of the Underbelly of Bollywood.’

The plea says that Bollywood is a well recognized and revenue-generating industry. The livelihood of all small big people is affected by the smear movement being run by the defendants.
