It’s been a few weeks since Apple officially announced its upcoming comedy series Shrink from Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Ted Lasso co-creator Bill Lawrence, but it turns out the premiere date is just around the corner.
Shrink tells the story of Jimmy (Segel), a therapist whose own ongoing experience of grief leads him to treat all of his patients a little differently than they are used to. While Jimmy is still committed to helping his patients deal with a wide variety of issues, he’s less interested in being sensitive to how he interacts with people or reconciling the advice he gives them. When Jimmy starts telling everyone exactly what’s on his mind, his personal life begins to change in unexpected ways, and it begins to become clear to everyone around him that a little honesty can go a long way in shaking things up.
While ShrinkWhile Apple’s new teaser trailer doesn’t say much about what the show will be like, Apple today announced that Harrison Ford will be joining the cast alongside Jessica Williams, Christa Miller, Lukita Maxwell, and Michael Urie.
Shrink is set to Apple TV Plus on January 27.
