Supreme Court Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg Death Might be Terrible Opportunity for Donald Trump
On Friday Supreme Court Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg popularly known as Notorious R.B.G Died at the age of 87 with a complication with her Pancreas cancer. It will be no wrong saying her the last hope for America. She was Judge of Supreme Court for nearly 27 years. She was more in the news during Trump’s 4 years presidentship.
Supreme Court judges never retire and she is the one who did the hearing in her last time also. Her last wishes according to the NPR’s Report is “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.” She was the second woman to appointed as judge of Supreme Court.
With very less time remaining in the elections and a vacant seat at the court might be a good opportunity for Donald Trump to win the election. Donald Trump can now see his future promises coming true. His promises related to Pro-life and concern for at the Republican Convention can come true soon.
With the death of R.B.G the Women’s right propaganda is in danger and also we don’t have to forget the rights of other people who are generally overlooked by the Ultra-Right Wing. R.B.G fought for all of them and with her demise, they might get sidelined.
This all can be said because many times it has listened from the supporters of Trump that they are in favour of Abolish 14th Amendment that gives automatic right to be US Citizens if he or she is born on US soil. The trend of many republican politicians moving away from Trump’s campaign as they are getting hints of Joe Biden’s WIN.
A month back when the Republicans asked about the vacant seat in the Supreme Court. Mitch McConnell who is known for his loyalty to the Trump said that “Oh, we’d fill it.” But it seems not all of the Republicans feel the same way. Lisa Murkowski Senator from Alaska said it is the people decision of feeling the seat, not of any politician. She also cited an incident from Barack Obama Period when he tried to replace Judge Antonin Scalia after his death. It was Republicans who opposed the move and demanded public interference and decision regarding this matter.
She further added that “If we now say that months prior to the election is OK when nine months was not, that is a double standard and I don’t believe we should do it. So I would not support it.” But no comments have come from her side on the passing of Ginsburg.
McConnell on the other side goes public to release the statement and said: “President Trump’s nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate.” Further in his speech he also honoured Ginsburg for her work as a judge in the Supreme Court.
In keeping the valuable work of the Ruth Bader Ginsburg the Congressmen will take a decent move which will be in favour of everybody and above that give justice to the work done by Judge Ruth. This is the golden opportunities for the Republicans to shine before the actual polls. But the question is How many follow the right part and how many will support politicians like McConnell?
