The New Strain of CoronaVirus Has Reached India: Are We Prepared Enough?

Six passengers who were traveling from London To Delhi on Air India’s flight have been tested positive for COVID-19 on arrival, a senior government official has confirmed on December 22.

The flight landed around 11.30 p.m. on December 21. “Five passengers were found COVID-positive at the Delhi airport. One passenger, who took a connecting flight to Chennai, was tested there and found positive,” the official said.

From December 23 to December 31, all UK – India flights have been suspended due to the emergence of the new strain of coronavirus in the UK. Also, all the passengers who come from the UK on December 21 and 22 will be tested for coronavirus compulsorily on arrival at the airports.
