Stock futures inch lower as Wall Street awaits final trading day of 2022
Shares traded lower on the final trading day of the worst year since 2008.
Futures linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 41 points, or 0.12%.
S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures traded lower by 0.14% and 0.08%, respectively.
The Dow gained 345 points or 1.05%.
The Dow and S&P traded slightly above average this week.
Friday marks the last day of trading for stocks of a torrid year that will see a number of trading events.
The Dow was the best performer of the year in 2022 with a decline of 8.58%.
The S&P and tech-heavy Nasdaq declined 19.24% and 33.03%, respectively.
