On Thursday all cellphones on Arizona alarmed with a Blue Alert Notification, But What it is all about?
Thursday Blue Alert was due to the Shooting done by Arizona State Troopers in order to search an Outstanding Suspect and all this was going on in Phoenix by the law enforcement.
The Blue Alert is issued immediately by the Arizona Department of Public Safety’s (DPS) Website to alert the public about the shooting and about the suspect who is on the loose. With the Alert, people will not come outside and stay at home in this situation of attack.
The Notification that came with the alert reads “Blue Alert Warning in this area until 11:38 PM UMST Monitor Radio or TV.”
DPS took the twitter to clarify something after hours of alert warning. The department wrote that the alert was “lacked detailed information” and still the police is searching for a car with identification as silver 2008-2013 Infiniti G37 with custom wheels.
Criteria for Releasing the Blue Alert Notification
Let us understand when the DPS can issue the Blue Alert warning-
- When there is some life-threatening or serious injury to a Law Enforcement Officer.
- The suspect on the loose is dangerous to the public and officers.
- The suspect escaped in a vehicle.
- The suspect escaped in the vehicle whose license plate number and other descriptions are known to the law.
The message was flashed not only on the cellphones but also on the message boards of the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Department of Public Safety releases the notification first to protect its public and officers. DPS said the main goal is to pass “efficient information dissemination and communication that results in quick and safe apprehension of the suspect.”
