Shekhar Kapur had commented on AR Rahman remark that some gang is working against him in the Bollywood film industry.
Shekhar Kapur, a filmmaker, had said that AR Rahman, music maestro, had faced difficulties in the Bollywood film industry as he had won Oscar. In the latest interview by Rahman, he said that there is some gang working against him in the Bollywood film industry, and as per Kapur, this is why he is getting fewer movies.
AR Rahman had said that “I heard that, and I realised, yeah okay, now I understand why I am doing less (work in Hindi films) and why the good movies are not coming to me. I am doing dark movies, because there is a whole gang working against me, without them knowing that they are doing harm,”
Shekhar Kapur, replying to the tweet from an interview, collaborated with AR Rahman and wrote that “You know what your problem is @arrahman? You went and got #Oscars. An Oscar is the kiss of death in Bollywood. It proves you have more talent than Bollywood can handle…”
Rahman, after a few hours, had quoted him in the tweet that “Lost Money comes back, fame comes back, but the wasted prime time of our lives will never come back. Peace! Let’s move on. We have greater things to do,”
In 2009, AR Rahman had created history when he had won an Oscar and became the first Indian musician. He had won it for the Slumdog Millionaire, and “Jai Ho” has been declared as the Best Original Song, and the whole album won an award as a Best Original Music Score.
