Britney Spears’ Conservatorship Unchanged- After she Requested Court To Remove her Father as Conservator
Britney Spears’ Request in the court regarding removing her father Jamie Spears as a Conservator has gone unaddressed. The court on Wednesday hearing keeps the role of her father in the conservatorship unchanged.
According to the reports the present conservatorship has been extended till Feb 1, 2021 but her lawyers can file petition again till Sept 18 2020.
In a true sense of internet world, netizens and fans of Britney Spears have started #FreeBritney Protest outside the courthouse. One of the protestors told that Spears’ Ex-Husband Jason Alexander was also there in the protest.
In the legal document, it was clearly mentioned that the singer doesn’t want her father to be her conservator instead she wants her Manager Jodi Montgomery to be her conservator. Jodi Montgomery in 2019 served as a temporary Conservator to the singer when her father’s health was not in good shape. It was further mentioned in the documents that Spears doesn’t want her father to be the only handler of her Finances.
In the true word of Documents-“Britney is strongly opposed to Jamie continuing as sole conservator of her estate. Rather, without in any way waiving her right to seek termination of this conservatorship in the future, she strongly prefers to have a qualified corporate fiduciary appointed to serve in this role.”
According to the lawyers of the singer, the conservatorship of Britney Spears tells how her life have changed over the year and is divided in three stages. According to them the first phase was “triage” — Initial career years when the conservators protects her from Financial ruins. Second stage was her successful years of performing and doing world Tours. The third phase is current scenario when she has no longer desire to perform.
Jamie spears, Father of Britney spears spoke to Page Six about the conservatorship and the #FreeBritney protest said the all of this to him is a Joke. He further added “All these conspiracy theorists don’t know anything. The world doesn’t have a clue. It’s up to the court of California to decide what’s best for my daughter. It’s no one else’s business.”
He also said “I love my daughter. I love all my kids. But this is our business. It’s private.”
He also further denied all the claims of him taking money from the singers’ estate and said “I have to report every nickel and dime spent to the court every year. How the hell would I steal something?”
