GameStop is holding two PlayStation 5 restock events this week

Tomorrow may be Apple Event Day, but for those still trying to get their hands on Sony’s next-gen games console, any day is one to wait with bated breath. Fortunately, we can report that GameStop will be restocking the PlayStation 5 twice this week. The retailer will list the PS5 Digital Edition for sale on its site starting Tuesday, March 8 at 11 a.m. EST / 8 a.m. PST. This is a rare drop, only for the entry-level PS5, which has no disc drive. But if you’re hoping to get your hands on the standard disc-equipped PS5, there’s more hope for you later this week. Select GameStop stores will have the standard model on Friday, March 11 for personal sale.

Both PS5 additions will be in bundle form, which is typical of GameStop. They are also exclusive to GameStop’s Power Rewards Pro members, a paid membership that costs $14.99 per year. According to the shortcut, the PS5 Digital Edition will be available in two bundle options. One costs $652.97 and includes the console (normally $399 only), an additional DualSense controller in red, a PowerA DualSense charging station, a $50 GameStop gift card, a $50 PlayStation Network gift card, and a 12-month subscription to PlayStation Plus. The second bundle costs $661.98 and includes the PS5 Digital Edition with a red DualSense controller and a PowerA charging dock, but comes with Samsung’s 1TB 980 Pro SSD in lieu of the gift cards, which let you increase the storage capacity of your PS5. upgrade.
