Lakshmi puja Muharat

Lakshmi pooja vidhi

Clean the place where you have to perform the Lakshmi pooja. You can also perform the pooja in the mandir area. Put some ganga jal and a piece of yellow or red cloth on a wooden platform. You can make a small rangoli with the help of rice flour or wheat flour on the cloth.

Now place the idol of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha on the wooden platform. After this, put some grains on the left and right side of the idols.

Take a kalash and fill it with water, put one supari, a marigold flower, coins and rice in it. You will also need five mango leaves and a raw coconut to place over the Kalash. Place the coconut with the fiber protruding upward in such a manner that the mango leaves remain partly inside and partially outside-facing upwards.

Now prepare pooja ki thali with some rice grains, turmeric powder, flowers and diya. Make sure that the Ganpati idol is placed on the right side of the kalash and the direction should be south-west.

Now put haldi kumkum on Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi idol. Offer flowers, fruits and sweets. You can also keep your books, pen or any other personal belongings near the idols to seek god’s blessings.

When all this is done, light the lamp. Now everyone in the family should join hands and sing Ganesha and Lakshmi aarti.
