The RCB Chairman, Sanjeev Churiwala gave a befitting reply when he was asked if the franchise was considering replacing Kohli as the captain in the upcoming IPL matches scheduled for the coming month of September in UAE. With the RCB disappointing the audience in most of the seasons, being qualified for play-offs only twice, under the captaincy of Virat Kohli since 2013, and speculations are always on about the franchise’s confidence in him.
The team has but always stood firmly behind the Indian Captain. So when asked about it, the Chairman said confidently that he is the Captain of the Indian Team and has a huge fan-following. He said that they love him and would love to be associated with him. He commented that winning and losing are all part of the game but his track record as an individual should be kept in mind. He also commented that association with Virat makes them proud.
Hopefully, Kohli brings about a change of fortunes for the team in the upcoming IPL matches.
