We lost another legend, Kevin Dobson, on Sunday afternoon. He was of 77 years and was popular for his roles in “Kojak” and “Knots Landing” on CBS.

He also served as Chairman of The United Veterans Council of San Joaquin County. The organization announced the sad news on Monday.

After serving as Army officer and Rail Road Conductor he started his acting career in 1960 and he began with shows like “One Life to Live”, “Emergency!”, “The Mod Squad” and “Cannon.” But the first time appreciation he got is from the show “Kojak” in which he played the role of Detective Bobby Crocker. In Kojak, he played opposite famous Telly Savalas. The show did really well for five seasons from 1973 to 1978. In 1990, Kevin and the same cast did a Movie on the series called “Kojak: It’s Always Something.”

Dobson played the role of Marion Patrick in ‘Knots Landing’ starting from its 4th season till the last season in 1993. He worked as the lead actor in this series for 14 seasons. He won 5 Soap Opera Digest Award for his performance in the miniseries based on Knots Landing: Back to the Cul-De-Sac.

After this, he appeared in many soap operas like “Days of Our Lives”, “The Bold and the Beautiful”, “House of Lies,”, “Anger Management” and “Hawaii Five-0.”
