Over 57,000 COVID Cases In 24 Hours For 1st Time, 10.94 Lakh Recoveries
According to recent reports approximately 60 per cent of the total cases nationwide and more than 50 per cent of deaths have been reported in the month of July.
There has been a new record surge in corona virus cases with approximately 57,118 fresh infections reported in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases has reached 16, 95,988. In the last 24 hours, there have been 764 COVID-19 related deaths, according to the Union Health Ministry said.
The total number of deaths due to the virus stands at 36,511. The tally of the country for Covid tally crossed the 16 lakh-mark on Friday. This has happened just after three days of crossing the 15 lakh infections. But the good news is that 10.94 lakh patients and more have actually recovered. So a recovery rate of 64.52 per cent has been recorded. There have been 1, 93, 58,659 tests so far. The percentage of patients who have tested positive for the highly contagious corona virus is 8.57 per cent.
After the first case which was reported, it took the country 110 days to cross the 1 lakh mark. And in just 183 days India crossed 16 lakh corona virus cases. Just has not been a very lucky months as more than 60 per cent of cases nationwide and 50 per cent of deaths have been recorded in this month.
The guidelines for Unlock3 had been released by the government on Wednesday. Night curfews have been scrapped and gyms and yoga institutes outside the containment zones have been allowed to reopen.
