Pranab Mukherjee on Ventilator Support

Health issues:  

Things are getting worse for former President Pranab Mukherjee. As far as his health is concerned, he has undergone a crucial brain surgery and still remains on ventilator support. According to R&R, the Army’s Research and Referral Hospital, the 84-year-old was admitted around Monday noon.

Tested positive for the novel coronavirus:

He had tested positive on Monday, prior to his surgery,  for Covid-19. He was admitted to the hospital at 12:07 hours in a critical condition, on  August 10, 2020. The surgery was an emergency life saving one due to brain clot.

A Team of multidisciplinary team of doctors:

He is under constant observation by a team of doctors. Mukherjee confirmed the news of him being positive via a Tweet on Monday. He asked all those people who came in close contact with him to isolate themselves. Wishes started pouring in soon after this news. 

President Ram Nath Kovind also enquired about his health from daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee, on Monday evening.

Even Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid a visit to the hospital to enquire about his health and was around for about 20 minutes. Wishes have also been sent by  Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. 

We all all wish for the speedy recovery of India’s 13th President who served from July 2012 to 2017. PRAYERS!
