When it comes to Kathryn Dennis’ social media controversy, Shep Rose and Leva Bonaparte are not on the same page. It continues to be a point of contention for the Southern Charm cast.
During a heated social media exchange, Kathryn had sent a monkey emoji to a black woman, in May 2020. She has apologized, but all is playing out during season 7 of the Bravo show.
In the last week, fans got to see Leva Bonaparte and Austen Kroll get into a screaming match on the topic, and in the sneak peek of tonight’s all-new southern Charm, Leva has a new opponent- Shep Rose.
The clip from the first part of the two-part season finale begins showing Shep revealing about throwing a party and Kathryn might also be attending it. Leva responds to it, saying that she has no problem with Kathryn but doesn’t like Austen, who has a habit of poking his nose into everything even when it has nothing to do with him.
Leva said that he was upset with Kathryn for what she said online and the only disappointment was at Capers, which was felt that the boys were coddling her.
Leva also points out that Shep doesn’t always have a reputation for pampering people, and while he agrees, the exchange starts to take a turn. Leva said that it is bothering to see that Kathryn is not held responsible or accountable at all.
Shep immediately disagrees with this and tries to explain his position. He tells that nobody ruins somebody for a mistake and that it was no secret that he was in a similar situation. He agreed that he displayed a lack of self-awareness when he was shown a clipping of him mocking a woman on the street for collecting cans. He said that people should be allowed to change.
He also said that he was not a judge, jury, and executioner. Getting back to the conversation with Leva, Shep said that I hope she changes but doesn’t exactly expect from her.
Southern Charm would air on Thursday, January 14 at 9 PM, only on Bravo.
