The eight-time Olympic gold-winner athlete has confirmed the news on social media himself and said that he would get into self-isolation for the next two weeks. He contracted the virus after partying with friends on his 34th birthday, on August 21.
After a radio station in Jamaica revealed that Usain Bolt and Raheem Sterling, the footballer have tested for Covid-19, the sprinter took to his twitter handle to confirm the news. He said that he underwent testing on Saturday and that as a responsible person he would isolate himself for two weeks. He also added that he would be alone and that he has no symptoms showing.
He informed that he will quarantine himself by following all the necessary protocols related to the same. He also asked others to be careful and safe.
It is noteworthy that Bolt’s birthday was attended by famous personalities like Bayer Leverkusen, Sterling, and Chris Gayle.
